Broadcasting company stocks exceeded the 4% gains of the broader stock market Thursday after many of the companies made presentations at a Goldman Sachs conference in New York, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Larger companies including CBS, Viacom and News Corp. all rose more than 4% Thursday while shares of smaller companies such as Nexstar Broadcasting, Hearst-Argyle and LIN TV all rose more than 12%, B&C says.
