As competition between Senators John McCain and Barack Obama for voters heats up this fall, broadcast networks and cable news network will also go up against each other for viewers, the Los Angeles Times reports. While cable news channels have a 24 hours-per-day opportunity to grab viewers, broadcast networks use exclusive, high-profile interviews, such as ABC News’ upcoming Sarah Palin sitdown, as the big attractions, the paper says.
