Actors, writers and directors won’t be the only ones getting exposure at Sunday’s 60th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Electronics company LG will be featured prominently throughout the telecast, Broadcasting & Cable reports. As the official sponsor of the awards show, LG provided 60-inch plasma screens that will flank the Emmy stage at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater, as well as 50- and 42-inch plasma screens that will be used during the production. Smaller 37- and 19-inch LCD HDTVs will be placed in key production locations backstage. LG’s chief technology officer, Woo Paik, was awarded the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ highest individual technical honor at a ceremony last month in Los Angeles.
