Lurie Sues Touchstone Over ‘Commander’

Sep 10, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Rod Lurie, producer-writer-director of “Commander-in-Chief,” has filed a suit against Touchstone TV for at least $1 million he claims the company owes him for the series, the Hollywood Reporter says. Lurie says that although he was fired from the short-lived ABC series early, his deal entitled him to payments through June 2008 that he never received because of the Writers Guild of America strike, the trade paper says. Touchstone hasn’t yet been served with the legal papers.
