Despite congressional Republicans and Democrats coming together on a bailout of the financial industry, Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain still won’t commit to Friday’s presidential debate in Oxford, Miss., the Associated Press reports. “There’s no deal until there’s a deal,” said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers. The spokesman also said the senator is optimistic an agreement between Congress and the White House will be completed, but that Thursday afternoon’s developments had not changed his plans not to debate, the AP says.
