Scripted television programs are an endangered species on broadcast networks during prime time on Fridays, MediaWeek reports. With the exception of CBS, which airs “The Ghost Whisperer,” “The Ex List” and “Numb3rs” on that night, networks are scheduling more and more nonscripted shows for Fridays. “People don’t make a point of being home on Friday,” ABC Entertainment Executive VP Jeff Bader told MediaWeek, “so it’s harder to have appointment TV on that night.” ABC’s Friday lineup for fall consists of the reality series “Wife Swap,” “Supernanny” and “20/20.”
