“Peanuts” animator Bill Melendez died on Tuesday of natural causes at the age of 91, the Associated Press reports. Melendez, who worked for Disney and Warner Brothers, among other animation houses, before meeting “Peanuts” creator Charles M. Schultz in 1959. Melendez and his company went on to animate Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang for TV specials and films.
