B.J. Novak was one of the first people hired by Greg Daniels when he was developing the U.S. version of “The Office,” and now he’s a co-executive producer of the series, as well as one of its stars, the New York Times reports. Originally, Novak played a temp, but moved up to be a vice president at the paper company at the center of the show.
