Firing Firestorm Among Anchors WCAU in Philadelphia

Oct 9, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Lori Delgado, a news reporter for WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, walked out on her job earlier this week when a former anchor, Vince DeMentri, announced plans to sue her and the station for slander, according to a story in the New York Post. DeMentri was fired in August after being suspected of keying Delgado’s car as well as stealing items from her desk. Philadelphia Daily News columnist Dan Gross has reported that DeMentri and Delgado had been good friends, but that relationship has since “soured.” The New York Post writes that in addition to the threat of DeMentri’s suit, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission is also probing a sex-discrimination claim against WCAU by DeMentri.
