Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig said he never told Fox that he wanted Game 5 of the World Series to play to a finish, no matter how long rain delays lasted, the New York Times reports. For a while it looked like the Philadelphia Phillies would become champions in a shortened game. Then the Tampa Bay Rays tied the score before Monday’s game was suspended. Rain prevented play on Tuesday and Game 5 is scheduled to resume Wednesday.
