Roger Goodman will direct the 81st annual Academy Awards telecast, Daily Variety reports. This will mark the first time the veteran live TV director has helmed the Oscars. Goodman’s credits include various Super Bowl halftime shows, the Daytime Emmy Awards and ABC News’ worldwide New Year’s Eve coverage in 2000. The Oscars are scheduled for Feb. 22 and will air on ABC.
