MIPCOM Begins in Cannes

MIPCOM is underway in Cannes, France, where many eco-friendly shows are set to take the spotlight during the “Green TV: Climate Change and Content” seminar Monday, the Hollywood Reporter says. Other projects looking to pick up global distribution include M6’s “Little Nick.” Several groundbreaking deals will be announced throughout the week. Already revealed is Disney-ABC-ESPN Television’s deal with Microsoft’s MSN to carry online series from its Stage 9 Digital Media, according to the Reporter. Comcast International Media Group’s has already sold 700 hours of programming in Asia Pacific over the last six months as it enters the conference, the Reporter says.
