NBC Going From Bad to Really Bad

Based on the first 10 days of the new season, where the network has been down 15% in viewers and down 16% in the coveted 18-49 demographic, NBC’s fall lineup is “off to a rocky start,” MediaWeek reports. And if it weren’t for its “Sunday Night Football,” the network’s nosedive would be much worse. Perennial overachievers “Law & Order: SVU” and “Heroes” so far have been underperforming, which has contributed to the downfall. “NBC may be the first broadcast network to finish in fourth place in a year when it has the Super Bowl,” Carat Programming VP Shari Anne Brill tells MediaWeek.
