Reality-show judges will be eligible for Emmys, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chairman John Schaffner said, according to the New York Post. There’s no plans to let the contestants bring home an Emmy, though, the paper reports.

A category for reality show host was bad enough. Presenting that award in the prestige spot just before Best Comedy and Best Drama was even worse. A category for reality show judge is even more unnecessary and further depletes the prestige this award is struggling to maintain.
This is appalling. What the hell is the Academy thinking?! Did they learn nothing from this years embarrassing awards for reality show hosts?
