Now that there is a confirmed end date to the series, “Lost” creator J.J. Abrams feels a movie is much more likely. Abrams tells MTV, “The one thing that makes you think maybe there could be [a movie] is that ABC agreed to end the series after six years. Which is a gift, because you know you won’t have years seven and eight where you’re thinking, ‘They should’ve ended at year six,’ and you know how to pace yourself so that you know how to end the series.” But just because the odds are better doesn’t mean the movie will happen. “There’s a chance, but my gut is it would never happen,” Abrams says.

Why not? I suspect J.J. Abrams gets what he wants 9 times out of 10. Personally, as a fan of the series, and the series’ innovations, I dig his concept for the finale.
