“30 Rock” Emmy-award winning actor Alec Baldwin will make an appearance in Rosie O’Donnell’s NBC variety special, TelevisionWeek reports. Baldwin joins previously announced guests Kathy Griffin, Ne-Yo and “30 Rock” co-star Jane Krakowski, the trade says. O’Donnell’s special debuts Nov. 26 at 8 p.m.

“Rosie said, ‘Do you know what happens to people who lie? They get sick and they get cancer and if they keep lying they get cancer again,'” recalled a choked-up Susan Spengler, chief of marketing at Gruner + Jahr USA.
“At the hearing (Rosie Magazine), a breast cancer survivor said she’d discussed her cancer with O’Donnell, becoming so emotional that Supreme Court Justice Ira Gammerman called a 10-minute recess.”
Throughout Spengler’s testimony, it was reported that “a contrite O’Donnell — who often reacts to testimony by scoffing, would turn to her family and friends in comic disbelief — and kept her eyes “fixed” on her former co-worker.” (End)
O’Donnell says her goal is to bring TV back to what many call the “good-ole-days” when there were many different variety shows. She wanted to duplicate what The Carol Burnett Show and The Ed Sullivan Show did, for her own generation.
First of all, Burnett and Sullivan can never be duplicated by Rosie. One has to have class, humility, sensitivity, share the limelight and Rosie has never been accused of being the least bit “classy” and some or all of the above. Sullivan and Burnett were not all about tearing down society, attacking opponents personally (see court action on Rosie Magazine above), if they even had any!…BURNETT AND CAST HAD AS MUCH FUN AS THE AUDIENCE AND IT SHOWED!!
Just like your magazine, “Rosie”, was copied from “O”. You abandoned that. You walked off your show. You walked off The View.

Rosie O’Donnell said she’s hoping to bring back a mostly dead genre[?]. Reba MacIntyre is doing this genre very successfully with the her hit comedy show “Reba” and Dick Clark is followed up by a “likeable” Ryan Seacrest. But there can never be another Carol Burnett, or Lucille Ball, Bill Cosby or Dick Clark! or a Mirah or a Whitney, an Oprah or even an Ellen!
