Thanks to the election, ABC’s “Nightline” beat CBS’ “The Late Show With David Letterman” and NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” both in total viewers and in the 25-54 demographic, TVNewser reports. The 10.96 million viewers on Election Night marked the highest total viewership for “Nightline” since April 21, 1995, the day Timothy McVeigh was arrested for the Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing. The last time “Nightline” beat both shows in both categories was in March 1998.
