Schwarzenegger Seeks TV Tax Breaks

Nov 4, 2008  •  Post A Comment

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger wants millions in tax breaks to lure television and movie companies to film in California, the Los Angeles Times reports. The legislature in the past has rejected similar proposals, calling them unneeded giveaways. The new proposal would cost the state about $100 million a year, the Los Angeles Times says. The administration cites migration out of the state of production of shows including ABC’s “Ugly Betty” as evidence the incentives are needed, the Times notes.
