About a half-dozen station groups have agreed to lease digital television spectrum to Sezmi, the planned over-the-air multichannel TV service, TVNewsday reports. The names of the station groups weren’t disclosed because of an official announcement planned for January, but Sezmi Senior VP David Allred did say the three that have been working with Sezmi in technical trials in Seattle–Tribune, Fisher and Daystar–are “very likely” to extend beyond the trials. “We’ve gotten great reception from the broadcast community,” Allred tells TVNewsday.
