Jay Leno says moving to prime time presents an interesting challenge. In an interview with TelevisionWeek, Leno says, “If this was the beginning of my career, I would have said no. Now, if I can get a few years out of it, then great.” Conan O’Brien, who’ll be taking Leno’s place on “The Tonight Show,” says Leno will remain a “fantastic” lead-in. “And I love the idea that that relationship is going to continue. He is going to be my lead-in continuing, I hope, for a long, long time,” O’Brien tells TVWeek. Ad buyers are braced for lower ratings in prime time, but like the idea that the new Leno show will be probably be very advertiser-friendly, the publicaton says. Leno joked about his news during “Tonight” Wednesday, the Assocated Press says.
