Kristin Chenoweth has been cast to co-star in the new NBC drama from David E. Kelley called “Legally Mad,” the Hollywood Reporter says. She’ll play the always upbeat Skippy Pylon, who goes to work at her father’s law firm, and who occasionally has a bout of psychosis.

I’m not sure everything David E. Kelley bestows upon TV is strictly serious, like Ally McBeal, or Picket Fences. Given Ms. Chenoweth’s acting chops(and her delicious turn as an obsessive agent wannabe on Frasier, I think Kelley will be going for comedy again.
