SAG Boss: Vote Doesn’t Mean Strike

Dec 31, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Screen Actors Guild executive director Doug Allen sent a message Tuesday to the group’s 120,000 members saying that a strike authorization vote doesn’t necessarily mean a strike for prime time and features, Daily Variety reports. “If the National Board decides to call one, it will not ‘shut down’ the industry. Why not? Because the national board’s decision would have no effect on work done under the Guild’s other contracts,” Allen wrote.
