8.5 Mil Homes Will See DTV Problems, Study Says

Jan 15, 2009  •  Post A Comment

New estimates find that as many as 8.5 million households still using over-the-air TV signals will experience difficulty receiving DTV transmissions after next month’s scheduled analog shutoff, TVNewser reports, citing new information from research firm Centris. The firm’s study says although the estimates are lower than previously expected, many of the issues to come will have to do with signal reception issues that go beyond simply installing a converter box, such as “digital cliff” effects and inadequate antennas, the site says.
