Matt Lauer tells the paper he tried to make things easy when Meredith Vieira joined “Today.” replacing star Katie Couric. “To adjust to a new family that had been together so long, and knew each other so well, that for me was a challenge,” Vieira tells the paper. Meanwhile, Lauer is expected to interview President Obama during the Super Bowl pre-game show, TelevisionWeek reports.
