‘Friday Night’ Debuts Strong on NBC

NBC’s season debut of “Friday Night Lights” gave the network its biggest audience in the time period in four weeks and its strongest rating among viewers 18-49 in three months, E! Online reports. The season opener, new for broadcast after the season finished its run on DirecTV, scored a 1.6 rating in the demographic and drew 4.6 million viewers, both up from last week’s episode of “Lipstick Jungle” in the time period, the site says.
