McDowell Bashes Fairness Doctrine

Robert McDowell, a commissioner with the Federal Communications Commission, spoke out against the so-called “fairness doctrine” that requires broadcasters to air both sides of issues that may be controversial, Multichannel News says. The doctrine, deemed unconstitutional two decades ago, would also be used against public radio if revisited, Multichannel News says, citing Mr. McDowell.
