NBC Pulls PETA’s Super Bowl Ad

Jan 27, 2009  •  Post A Comment

NBC has decided to pull a sexually provocative Super Bowl advertisement from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the New York Post reports. The ad featured attractive people getting intimate with vegetables to such an extent that NBC felt it went beyond the acceptable standards, the newspaper says. A PETA rep responded, “PETA’s veggie ads are locked out, while ads for fried chicken and burgers are allowed, even though these foods make Americans fat, sick and boring in bed,” according to the Post.

  1. PETA makes me LOL. The key to anything in life is MODERATION. All things in Moderation. When I sit down to enjoy a meal, I don’t want all vegetables. Heck, Veggies are what Food Eats. PETA is typical of all minority groups in this country. Not only do they want to get their message out, they DEMAND that everyone see and adhere to their point of view.

  2. Hey Bill, the key to life IS moderation. Part of what makes this country great is that everyone GETS a point of view and that we’re not all just lumped into one big bunch. That includes ALL of those “demanding” minority groups, too.
