The Screen Actors Guild’s MembershipFirst faction has issued a statement supporting embattled national executive director Doug Allen and calling for a contract vote, the Hollywood Reporter says. The faction, which includes SAG President Alan Rosenberg and most of the Hollywood board of the union, had previously campaigned against the contract offer, the publication reports. Meanwhile, SAG denied a report Thursday that its leaders had dropped a plan to issue a strike authorization vote, Daily Variety reports.
