The Set’s a Star on ‘Dollhouse’

For Joss Whedon’s new show “Dollhouse,” Fox has built a 25,000 square foot two story structure to house its main characters, who are held against their will in what is part prison, part spa, the Los Angeles Times reports. The set cost $950,000 and was built in six weeks last spring. “The idea of the dollhouse is that these people are being pampered like world-class athletes, kept ready for whatever the next assignment is,” production designer Stuart Blatt tells the paper. “So they’re living in a place that’s deluxe.”
