Susan Zirinsky, executive producer of CBS News’ “48 Hours,” has been working on a number of projects with Katie Couric that are getting the “Evening News” anchor on the air in primetime, the New York Observer reports. “They mesh extremely well,” CBS News president Sean McManus tells the paper. “They have a lot in common. They’re both incredibly competitive.”
