“One Life to Live” star Phil Carey, who played the tycoon Asa Buchanan on the ABC soap for almost three decades, died Feb. 6 following a battle with lung cancer, the Hollywood Reporter says. He was 83. On the show, Asa died in his sleep Aug. 16, 2007, the trade paper says.
