“Life” returns to NBC, with its star Damian Lewis playing a brilliant, eccentric detective looking to find out who wrongfully sent him to prison for more than a decade, the New York Times says. Co-star Sarah Shahi, a former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader can’t keep up with Lewis, the paper says. “Ms. Shahi still seems to be carrying her pompoms whenever she is standing beside Mr. Lewis, an Etonian and former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.”
