Ed O’Neill, the former star of “Married With Children,” has been hired for ABC’s pilot “An American Family” and will play the part of a 60-year old man who becomes a stepfather after marrying a younger Latina woman, the Hollywood Reporter says. The show, which tracks three families ranging from traditional to non-traditional, also cast Eric Stonestreet, who will play one half of a gay couple, the trade paper says.
