Executives at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences have created a plan to trim the number of awards presented on air during the Emmys broadcast, Daily Variety says. Since the Emmy presentation has been criticized for its length, the plan would move some TV movie and miniseries awards, and potentially some reality, variety/music/comedy and specials categories, the trade paper reports.
