The FCC plans to issue a notice of inquiry on how to handle the Child Safe Viewing Act, which means the commission will collect data for a report due in August to Congress on methods for blocking video content, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The FCC will be looking at technology for blocking content on platforms including TVs, wireless handsets and DVD players, the trade paper says.
