GE’s Immelt Ducks NBC Question

General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt ducked a question at a Wall Street Journal breakfast event about whether the structure of the company makes sense and if NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker wouldn’t wish to run his own company, the Hollywood Reporter says. Immelt pointed at Zucker, who was attending the event, and said, “That’s my favorite guy right here,” the Reporter says. Immelt added GE’s businesses make sense as long as earnings, cash flows and returns are solid, and praised NBC for booking $206 million in Super Bowl advertising, the trade paper says.
