ABC News anchor Charlie Gibson said that in a marketplace full of bloggers and citizen journalists “I believe in a fundamental way that the mainstream media is more important than ever—the much maligned mainstream media,” Politico reports. Speaking at the Naitonal Press Foundation’s annual dinner, Gilbson says media outlets have “made a terrible mistake giving our stuff away,” the Web site says.
