Danny Gokey, a 28-year old church music director, was called a “hero” by “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi after his performance Tuesday, Associated Press reports. Gokey was the last in a group of 12 singers to perform, out of the top 36 semifinalists, the news agency says.
