Brittany Snow will play the lead role in a “Gossip Girl” spinoff that will serve as a prequel to the current CW series, the Hollywood Reporter says. Snow will play the teenaged, Los Angeles-raised version of Lily van der Woodsen, who’s now played by Kelly Rutherford, the newspaper reports. The pilot of the spinoff will air as a May 11 “Gossip Girl” episode, according to the Reporter.
