Nexstar Broadcasting Group wants to purchase WCWJ, Jacksonville, Fla.’s CW affiliate, for $18 million, TVNewsday reports. Nexstar announced its planned acquisition last week, though it did not reveal the total purchase price, noting only that it was “less than five times the 2009 projected cash flow” for the station, the site says. According to the new amount revealed in the FCC filing seeking approval for the purchase, WCWJ’s expected cash flow for this year is less than $3.6 million, TVNewsday says.
