The Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers resumed contract talks yesterday for the first time in three months, with their discussion lasting into the evening, Daily Variety reports. While a timetable is unclear, SAG scheduled a national board meeting for Saturday, which might result in the panel approving a tentative agreement for the union’s members to ratify, the publication says. If SAG doesn’t hammer out a deal this week, it’s unlikely the talks would resume before March 1, because of SAG’s scheduled meetings to negotiate the commercials contract in New York next week, the trade paper says.
