The new top executives at the Screen Actors Guild in charge of negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers are taking a low-key approach to the contract talks, telling SAG members in a plain-spoken message that the union’s negotiating task force will meet with the studios on Tuesday and Wednesday, Daily Variety reports. Supporters of ousted negotiating chief Doug Allen are vowing to picket the talks Tuesday morning at the AMPTP’s Sherman Oaks headquarters, the trade paper says.
