Ryan Seacrest originally auditioned for his part as judge on “American Idol,” the New York Post says. “You were so bright and perky and we were desperate,” former “Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said on Seacrest’s Los Angeles-based radio show Wednesday.
