World Wrestling Entertainment had an 8% increase in revenue last year despite a fourth-quarter decline in sales in 2008, Broadcasting & Cable reports. 2008 results were helped by a television-rights agreement with MyNetworkTV for WWE’s “Smackdown” programming, B&C says. Pay-per-view sales fell in 2008 while revenue from WWE’s Classics on Demand and advertising sales were up last year, B&C says.
