ABC Buys ‘Diamonds’ (Correction)

Mar 31, 2009  •  Post A Comment

ABC has picked up the four-hour movie “Diamonds,” originally developed and produced for Canada’s CBC by Sienna Films, Daily Variety reports. The miniseries from Alchemy TV, which ABC plans to air in May, features five storylines about the effect of blood diamonds at the personal and political levels, the trade paper says. Judy Davis plays a U.S. senator who travels to Sierra Leone to discover why her daughter was killed at a diamond mine, the paper says.

  1. Don’t you mean Canada’s CBC?

  2. I bet they mean Canada’s CTV …
as CBC has just brought forth
major lay-offs and cost cutting measures.
CBC is publicly funded, CTV is privately so ….
and it has more money and – I think-
    makes more original dramatic fiction….(?)

  3. This is good info! Where else can if ind out more?? Who runs this joint too? Keep up the good work 🙂

  4. It seems even a pro like me can still be taught a few things. Thanks a lot for your post.
