The Canadian government is drawing up plans to help its major broadcasters cope with an advertising slump through regulatory and tax changes, the Hollywood Reporter says. “We have always been mindful of the difficulties that have hit the broadcasting industry, and (want to) keep our options open,” Canada heritage department press secretary Stephanie Rea told the trade paper.
