The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. said it will cancel “The Simpsons” and “The Martha Stewart Show” to trim costs, a day after announcing as many as 800 job cuts, the Hollywood Reporter says. The public broadcaster also plans to cancel daytime lifestyle series and end some sports programming such as Toronto Blue Jays games to lower spending, the trade paper says.
