Writer Harlan Ellison has sued CBS Paramount over a 1967 episode of “Star Trek” that he wrote, alleging the studio failed to pay him for merchandising and publishing, Daily Variety reports. The issue, “City on the Edge of Forever,” starred Joan Collins, the trade paper says. Ellison’s suit also sues the Writers Guild of America for failing to act on his behalf, although it seeks $1 in damages plus lawyer and court costs from the guild, the publications says. CBS Paramount wasn’t immediately available for comment and the WGA declined comment, Variety says.
