‘Idol’ Judges Get Veto Power

A new rule on “American Idol” gives judges the one-time use of a veto power to save a competitor eliminated by the public’s vote, the New York Post reports. The rule, which was revealed on Wednesday’s show, will allow them to veto a choice they don’t agree with until the program gets down to its last five singers, the tabloid says. Separately, “Idol” finalist Jorge Nunez was sent home Wednesday along with Jasmine Murray after receiving the lowest viewer votes, the New York Daily News reports.
