“ER” star John Stamos is heading to Broadway now that the NBC medical drama is going off the air, BroadwayWorld.com reports. In an interview with E! News, Stamos said he’ll be working in an upcoming production of “Bye Bye Birdie,” in which he’s rumored to play Albert Paterson, the role created by Dick Van Dyke, the site says. There have been no official casting announcements, but the Roundabout’s production of the show is scheduled for this fall, BroadwayWorld.com adds.
